Privacy policy
Last updated 17 October 2026. This is the policy for invitelink.live.
The short version
InviteLink stores the account you create, the invitation you write, the guest list you add, and a short record when someone opens a published page. We do not sell that information.
Account
When you register we keep your username, email address, first name if you give one, and a hashed password. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a CSRF cookie so a form submission comes from our pages.
Invitations and guests
An invitation can include names, a date, a venue, a map link, a dress note, a description, and any RSVP questions you add. Each guest row can include a name, email, phone, party size, and the answers they submit. Personal links are unlisted. They are not a password. Someone who can guess the address can open that page.
When a page is opened
Opening a published invitation writes one visit record:
- The time, and whether it was the general event page or a personal guest link.
- A masked IP prefix. The full IP address is not stored.
- Browser, operating system, and a rough device type, read from the user-agent string.
- The referring page, if the browser sends one.
- Country, when a hosting proxy we trust sends it. City and region are stored only if that proxy sends them.
We do not use GPS, and we do not look up the IP with a third-party geolocation service.
RSVP replies
A reply on a personal link stores the status, party size, an optional note, answers to your questions, and the time of the reply. The host of that invitation can see it.
How long we keep it
Invitation and guest records stay until the host deletes them or the account is removed. Deleting a guest removes that guest's link and their visit rows. Deleting an invitation removes its guests and visits. There is no self-serve button to delete a whole account yet. If you want the account removed, write from the email on the account and say so.
Who else sees it
Hosts see their own invitations, guests, and visit records. Guests see the invitation page they were sent. We do not pass your guest list to an advertising network.
